Comming this fall.....

Summer is over.Tthe kids are back in school and time to back into that old routine. Which for some of us means buy stuff for the old drum kit! We like to keep our customers up to date about the happening at Cymbals & Snares so here's a quic rundown of what you can expect in the fall.
TAYE DRUMS: We will expand our selection of Taye snares. Over the summer we sold out of our shipment of rockline entry level snares. We will be bringing in some mid-level snares mainly the rock-pro line. Don't worry there's plenty to choose from. The colors, finishes and materials in which to choose these are very solid reasonably priced drums. Taye also makes some great award winning bass pedals. Were not kidding last year at Namm one of Taye's bass pedals won best in show, Look for an extensive selection of entry level to doublekick pro level pedals from Taye
SILKEN : We currently have a pretty good selection of 2 of their lines. The Vintage and Hansun are well represented. This fall see us expand our Silken offerings with a number of Cymbals from a 3rd line called Dark Energ. With additional selection in the two series we currently carry.
TKO : This company makes some really good entry level products a great exampl of that is the TK101jr drumkit. Probably the nicest most well built kids drum kit on the market. They also make some of the nicest and affordable cymbal stands on the market. TKO's 1200 series has many pro features including that massive counterwweight for the boom stands . look for us to bring in TKO 1200 series this fall.
DIRIL : These goreous hand made cymbals from Turkey are among the best pro-grade cymbals on the maket. We are currently carrying the D and ICE series look for us to pick up their jazz line sometime this fall.
Cannon : these guys make rock solid hardware that is very fairly priced. Equipment from their Road pro and their 820 line of equipment. HH's thrones and assorted standslook for more of these things from Cannon. We also are considering brining on the all Maple version of Cannons popular concert toms. These are all custom toms which color matching you exsisiting is an option !
Wuhan : We will continue to to fully stock every Wuhan they make. We are currently working on a deal that wil allow us to offer every china they make. stay tuned
ALL OTHER BRANDS : from puresound to attack we will expand our offerings from all the brands we carry. well that;s it for now T

  1. I love you guys, and, finally, I ordered a 16" Wuhan crash cymbal from you. I totally agree with your points about music stores; the small guys have to carry only expensive new "Big 3" cymbals. They have no choice but to "hide costs" in them. The big guys seem to carry them, solely also--to boost margins at the expense of those who perceive themselves hapless, unfortunate serfs!

The big stores have so much stuff that staffers often have difficulty finding certain items. I worry about breaking something expensive with stuff lying around everywhere. Many guys attempting to play metal--all at once--doesn't help one make a decision for a wise purchase, either.

I always believe in alternatives (such as yours) concerning such specialty items: This may sound crazy and vain: I rely upon wise alternatives. They're much like bright stars--for guiding my life. I think other guys rely too much upon puffing up ego--always insisting and attempting to foist upon us what pointy-head consensus drunkenly believes always is best for all....

This latter attitude seems to pop up concerning every expensive specialty field of endevor or purchasing: Photographic equipment, musical instruments, bicycles, computers, real estate, medicine, autos--you name it!

(I really wanted a China cymbal, but my regular original cymbals "suck!" I should buy the 12" soon at this point--why not?!)

Thanks for the demo videos (and, certainly great audio) of many of your cymbals--this alone is worth more than thousands of pointy-head cymbal opinions. That's why I desire to purchase from you in the future.

I really wanted a larger China cymbal--my stock cymbals "suck," however.

If, somehow, I prove worthy, I may purchase high-end "big-3" cymbals in the distant future, yet maybe not. A very wise guy on some forum indicates that one eventually cracks or dents such cymbals, anyway....

I'm pretty confident that Wuhan's China cymbals simply are the best; Zildjian practically admits it! (As Chinas get larger, they tend to begin to sound like really cool gongs!)

    Thanks!

  2. First thanks for the compliments. Cymbals in particular the big three have such a stanglehold on the market it's not funny. Some of the big three have stipulations in their contracts when a store (or chain) decides to carry them. Such as how much space is devoted to them. They even go so far as too limit the number of other brands a store can carry !! The last think Zildjian wants to see is a great sounding $35 Wuhan 16" crash next to their $235 16" crash !! It's reasons like that We've decided to be the "home of the Other Name Brands" There's just so many great affordable quality Cymbals out there that cost a fraction of what the big guys charge. WE've seem to hit accord with many drummers as we here comments like your all the time. I guess were doing something right. The three current brands we offer can hold their own against anyone. Wuhans New Traditional series are simply excellent, no one should ever buy B8 entry level cymbals again. For a little more csh are Silkens some of the nicest Chinese cymbals on the Market today and finally Diril EQUAL OR BETTER than anything the big 3 make at much more reasonable prices. Look for our holiday offerings we will be bringing in more Taye snares more TKO cymbal stands and atleast one more series of Silken their "Dark Energy" series. lots of good stuff comming. Cymbals & Snares were you find the BEST OF THE REST !!!
